The W Awards kicked off an annual celebration on Monday, May 12, 2026 recognizing outstanding student employees and their supervisors for excellence, growth, reliability, service, and positive impact on campus.

Graduates Honor Their Roots at Nuestras Ra铆ces

Rock Valley College celebrated the achievements, heritage and resilience of its graduating students during this year鈥檚 Nuestras Ra铆ces ceremony, an event recognizing Hispanic and Latino graduates as they prepare to cross the commencement stage. Family members, friends, faculty and staff filled the stands in the Physical Education Center on the college鈥檚 Main Campus on Wednesday, May 13 to honor the students鈥� academic accomplishments while celebrating the cultural identities and traditions that helped shape their journeys.

Gustafson Prize Honors Mathematical Excellence

David Bertolasi has excelled in all of his math courses at Rock Valley College while balancing involvement with RVC Men鈥檚 Golf Team, RVC Intervarsity Christian Fellowship and volunteering for his church鈥檚 A/V crew.
