Expanding Access and Opportunity

Illinois has an opportunity to take a bold, student-centered step forward by allowing community colleges to offer select, high-demand baccalaureate degrees. As president of Rock Valley College, I strongly support this legislation, not to compete with universities but to complement them.

Cultural Celebration Honors Graduates

Rock Valley College proudly celebrated graduates' cultural heritage, academic achievements, and personal journeys at the Nuestras Ra铆ces event on Tuesday, May 13, 2025. Translating to "Our Roots," the annual celebration brought together nearly 60 graduating students, their families, and community members in a vibrant and heartfelt tribute to identity, perseverance, and community.

RVC's Phi Theta Kappa Wins Award for Promoting College Pride

Rock Valley College鈥檚 Phi Theta Kappa chapter received a 鈥淐Csmart Champion Award鈥� from Phi Theta Kappa鈥檚 International Headquarters for a series of events in the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 academic years that highlighted the outstanding educational opportunities available at RVC.
