A Breath of Dedication: Celebrating Respiratory Care Graduates

The atrium of Rock Valley College鈥檚 Stenstrom Student Center was filled with emotion and pride on Wednesday, May 14, as friends, family, faculty, and clinical partners gathered to honor the Respiratory Care Program鈥檚 Class of 2025. The pinning ceremony recognized graduates for their academic achievements and unwavering dedication to a profession that literally helps people breathe.

Expanding Access and Opportunity

Illinois has an opportunity to take a bold, student-centered step forward by allowing community colleges to offer select, high-demand baccalaureate degrees. As president of Rock Valley College, I strongly support this legislation, not to compete with universities but to complement them.

Cultural Celebration Honors Graduates

Rock Valley College proudly celebrated graduates' cultural heritage, academic achievements, and personal journeys at the Nuestras Ra铆ces event on Tuesday, May 13, 2025. Translating to "Our Roots," the annual celebration brought together nearly 60 graduating students, their families, and community members in a vibrant and heartfelt tribute to identity, perseverance, and community.
